vanilla extract

A friend of mine who inspires me to eat better, live better, and be creative in the kitchen gifted me some grey goose vodka, vanilla beans, a pretty bottle and some verbal assembly instructions.
A little slicing, stuffing, soaking, and bottling, i’m on my way to making my very own vanilla extract! The bottle is hanging out in the dark for the next few months, but I’ll be sure to report back on the savory results when it’s ready!! Thanks Ellen!!

I missed this post. I think making your own vanilla extract is awesome! I recently made my own and I’m really excited about it. Yay for both of us!
